Bullet-Resistant Roll-Up Door Shields

Motorized or manually driven bullet-resistant roll-up door shield with cable-guided hem bar

Protect your home or business with bullet-resistant door shields. The door shield can be deployed quickly when necessary so it doesn't block the door when not in use.

Features:

  • Motorized version uses either Somfy or RollEase motors.
  • Manual version can either actuate with a hand crank or a pull-chain.
  • Available as certified to UL752 Level 3 or Level 2 protection.
  • Customizable to match your décor with custom colors, print patterns, or designer fabrics.

Installation and Deployment

The cable guides for the hem bar will run the length of the door, secured at a position just above the level of the floor.
  • Unlike the locking hem bar design, there is nothing to engage when the hem bar is lowered.
  • It is ready to provide full protection once it has reached the bottom of the door.
  • Nor is there anything to disengage before retracting the shield, allowing the shade to deploy and retract with complete automation.
  • Care must be taken that no obstacles will interfere with the cables or the hem bar's ability to ride up and down on them.

Standard construction allows for sizes starting at:
  • 36 in. wide, up to a width of 120 in.
  • Recommended for coverings that are at least 20 sq. ft. in size.
  • Window height of up to 84 in.
  • Window sizes outside of these dimensions will require customized construction.
